Your Right to Data Deletion

At ControlShift AI, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information at any time. This page explains how to request data deletion for your account and connected third-party integrations.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Email Request (Recommended)

Send an email to support@controlshiftai.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your account email address
  • Your full name
  • Confirmation that you want to delete your account and all associated data
  • Any specific data you want deleted (if not requesting full account deletion)

Option 2: Account Settings

If you have an active account, you can request data deletion through your account settings:

  1. Log in to your ControlShift AI account
  2. Navigate to Account Settings
  3. Click on "Privacy & Data"
  4. Select "Request Data Deletion"
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

  • Your account information (name, email, company details)
  • Your usage data and analytics
  • Your conversation history and chat logs
  • Your configuration and settings
  • Connected third-party integration data (see below)

Third-Party Integration Data

Google Services

If you have connected Google services, we will:

  • Revoke access to your Google account
  • Delete all stored Google OAuth tokens
  • Remove any Google data cached in our systems

Note: You may also want to revoke access directly in your Google Account settings.

Facebook/Meta Services

If you have connected Facebook services, we will:

  • Disconnect your Facebook account from our platform
  • Delete all stored Facebook access tokens
  • Remove any Facebook page or messaging data

Note: You can also manage app permissions in your Facebook settings.

WhatsApp Business API

If you have connected WhatsApp Business API, we will:

  • Disconnect your WhatsApp Business account
  • Delete all stored WhatsApp API credentials
  • Remove message history and contact data

Processing Time

We will process your data deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted. Some data may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes as required by law.

Data Retention Exceptions

We may retain certain information even after deletion if:

  • Required by law or legal process
  • Necessary for fraud prevention or security
  • Part of anonymized analytics data (no personal identifiers)
  • Required for business records or compliance

Account Deletion vs. Data Deletion

Account Deletion: Permanently deletes your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Partial Data Deletion: You can request deletion of specific data types while keeping your account active. Contact support to discuss your specific needs.
