Billing & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Billing & Refund Policy explains how ControlShift AI ("ControlShift AI," "we," "our," or "us") charges for subscriptions and usage of the ControlShift AI platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to purchases made through app.controlshiftai.com or authorized sales channels.

2. Subscription Plans

ControlShift AI offers subscription plans with varying features, usage limits, and pricing. Current plan details are published on our Pricing page. Plan features and prices may change with notice as described below.

3. Billing Cycle

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected plan
  • Usage-based charges (such as voice minutes, messages, or add-ons) may be billed monthly in arrears where applicable
  • Your billing date is based on the date you first subscribed or upgraded your plan
  • All fees are quoted in the currency displayed at checkout unless otherwise agreed

4. Payment Methods

We accept payment through supported payment providers such as Stripe. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees and applicable usage charges. You are responsible for keeping payment information current.

5. Taxes

Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any sales, VAT, GST, or similar taxes associated with your purchase, except where we are legally required to collect and remit them.

6. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and notify you by email. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your account until payment is received. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by failed payments.

7. Plan Changes and Cancellation

  • Upgrades take effect immediately; charges may be prorated for the current billing period
  • Downgrades typically take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless otherwise stated
  • You may cancel your subscription through your account settings or by contacting support
  • After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise specified

8. Refund Policy

Except where required by applicable law or explicitly stated in a written agreement:

  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun
  • Annual plans may be eligible for a pro-rata refund within 14 days of initial purchase if no significant usage has occurred
  • Usage-based charges and add-on fees are non-refundable
  • Refunds for billing errors or duplicate charges will be reviewed and processed where verified

To request a refund review, contact support@controlshiftai.com with your account email, invoice number, and reason for the request.

9. Free Trials and Promotions

Free trials or promotional credits may be offered from time to time. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your account may automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method may be charged. Promotional terms will be disclosed at signup.

10. Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. You may cancel before renewal if you do not agree to the change.
